2nd Annual Westie Awards Announced

The Western Pacer will now be the home of the annual Westie Awards. The Westie Awards were created to recognize the hard work and achievements of the top harness racing horse and horsepeople in Western Canada.

I, Trey Colbeck, determined the nominees based on performance over the past year. Each category has one nominee from each province and the winner will be chosen from that group.

The second annual Awards will take place on Jan. 11, 2025, and the nominations will be announced one week prior, on Jan. 5.
