The card will feature a pair of $20,000 BC Sale Stakes. Thethree-year-old colts and geldings division is set for the second race. The 6-5 morning line favourite, Wannabeabigstar (Shadow Play) draws the rail and is eyeing his fourth win in his last five starts. The Jim Marino-trained gelding has six career wins and has earned over $89,000 in prize money. His lifetime mark of 1:54 is the fastest in the field.

Only four fillies draw into their event and the heavy 4-5 favourite is the Custard The Dragon sired, Over Ice. She has won four races in a row and has rarely never had the lead over that stretch. Jim Marino trains the filly and Phil Giesbrecht will be in the sulky.
