Driver Standings

With only eight races left in 2025 season, the honours for Top Driver of the meet are still up for grabs. In respect to wins, Darryl Mason is leading with 15 wins. He also has the most starts at 66 which makes his win rate 22.7%. Dean Rey and Clayton Braybrook sit second in wins at 11 each. Either man would need to be perfect on Saturday for any chance of catching Mason in the win column. However, in respects to earnings, Rey is only $1201 behind Mason for highest this summer. Rey also leads the way with a 25.6 win% and also leads the way with a udrs. of .441

Trainer Standings

The Top Training race is more or less locked up by Sherri Mason. Already with 17 wins and over $74,413 in winnings this summer, it’s impossible for anyone to catch her. However, Lorraine Rey has had a impressive year as well. She has had half the starts but has accumulated over $60,000 and sports a winning percentage of 25.8%. Rey also has a utrs of .419. However, with only 11 entries over the summer, Trevor Williams is leading with a 54.55% win rate.

The Open (Race 7)

For another week, the race of the day is the Open. A full field of eight draw in and there are some very interesting matchups in this race. The heavy favourite should be Ginger Tree Finny (Captaintreachous) but opens at 3-1 morning line odds. The seven-year-old gelding has won three straight but gets a more inside draw likely due to scratching last week. He constantly paces sub 2:00 miles and should be easily at 1-9 come post time. However, Chief Is Boss (Beren Hanover) opened as the 2-1 favourite. The odds maker must be feeling the track record holder has another performance of that nature in store. A couple of mares, Tami Blue and Nonversation should be well looked at all well.
