Fraser Downs Picks – November 28, 2024

The harness racing continues at Fraser Down and the nine-dash card is headline by a pair of $100,000 three-year-old stake finals.

A free program can be found here.

The first stake final of the night is the Mary Murphy Stake for three-year-old fillies. Over Ice (Custard The Dragon) has earned the 8-5 morning line odds with her back-to-back wins. After going a perfect five-for-five as a two-year-old, she has continued to perform well with four wins and 13 top-three finishes in 15 starts in 2024. Phillip Giesbrecht will team up with the Jim Marino-trained filly.

Three-year-old colts & geldings will conclude the night in the Robert Murphy Memorial. The morning line selection is the Shadow Play sired – Wannabeabigstar. Another Jim Marino-trained pacer heads into the race as a favourite. The gelding is coming off back-to-back wins both in the Robert Murphy series. His most recent performance saw a 1:54 mile which earned him a new lifetime mark. Wannabeabigstar has made 13-lifetime starts and has won on five occasions. Phillip Giesbrecht will be in the sulky behind Wannabeabigstar at post-time.
